Warm Summer Eye Makeup

I wanted to create a summery eye look now that we’re in July, I think it’s time to start digging out the warm shades and wearing colors that are more suited to the bright sunny days we’re starting to get. I used the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette for this look that I created and I love it, the golden/deep orange tones are perfect for the warmer months. The overall look really reminds me of the sunsets you get in the middle of summer, with the golden sun rays and the deep orange skies. I guess this look could also be an Autumn one too as it has the right kinds of shades for the deep yellow and orange leaves, but what the heck, just wear it all year round. For my brows, I used my usual Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in the shade ‘Ebony’ with the ABH Angled Brush and the ABH Clear Brow Gel.
Base
To prime my eyes, I used my Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
Brow Bone
I used the shade ‘Bitter Start’ from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette to highlight my brow bone. I also added a bit of my Becca Pressed Highlighter in ‘Moonstone’ on top.

Crease

In the crease, I used the shade ‘Substitute For Love’ from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette and also applied this under my bottom lash line.
Lid
I then applied the shade ‘Sweeter End’ all over the lid, which actually is a light pink with golden glitter in the pan, but when packed on the lid it ended up looking really golden like this. (I swear I didn’t use anything else.) I also applied the shades ‘Freshly Toasted’ and a tiny bit of ‘Warm Notes’ into the outer V to create a smoked effect. Again, all shades are from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette.

Inner Corners
For the inner corners, I used my beloved Makeup Revolution Awesome Eye Foil in Rose Gold.

Lashes
To coat my lashes, I used the Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara and I’m wearing ‘The Chic’ lashes by xoBeauty.

Left to Right: Bitter Start, Substitute For Love, Warm Notes, Sweeter End & Freshly Toasted from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette and MR’s Eye Foil in Rose Gold.

And that’s everything I used for this look, pretty simple really. I really recommend picking up the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette if you don’t have it already, it’s such good value for the price and it’s perfect for summer!
